The steel pedal inserts are holding up way better than the aluminum threads on my old crank did. Paired with a fresh bottom bracket, the reinforced axle feels noticeably stiffer when I'm mashing out of the saddle. Two months of rocky descents and nothing's loosened up at all.
Swapped these onto my trail bike and the difference in stiffness is real—the reinforced steel axle doesn't flex at all when I'm cranking hard out of the saddle. Steel pedal inserts are holding up great after a few rocky rides too.
Swapped these onto my trail bike and the difference in power transfer is immediately noticeable—the reinforced steel axle really does feel stiffer when you're mashing up a climb. Steel pedal inserts are a nice touch too, no more worrying about rounding out the threads.
